This Mom Is Taking Her 6-Year-Old Who Is Losing Her Vision On A Sightseeing Adventure

Cailee was determined to have the sickness, called FEVR (familial exudative vitreoretinopathy), at year and a half, when she first got her vision checked taking into account "an extremely interesting nurturing gut sense," her mom, Catrina Frost, told BuzzFeed News.

She said it is likely that Cailee will in the long run get to be visually impaired inside five years, yet it's difficult to know without a doubt.

"We rode this thrill ride for a truly long time," she said. "It could be currently, it could be quite a while from now, it could be a long time from now, it could be never."

Ice has made her little girl a "touring container list" and is expecting to scratch off each thing while Cailee still has her vision.

The thought came to Frost amid a drive to a physical checkup in California, when she called attention to the Imperial Sand Dunes and told Cailee "that is the place sand strongholds originate from."

"We ceased there, and there was nobody else there," Frost said. "The sand was simply delightful and untouched. She just kept running all over the sand rises for 60 minutes. She was tarnished, filthy, moving around, making sand blessed messengers. It was a great, excellent time."

Only a couple days after the fact, she took Cailee to SeaWorld and the shoreline, which would turn into the initial two stops on their enterprise.

"She had never seen the shoreline," Frost said. "She was in absolute wonder. She couldn't trust how enormous it was."

They kept focused shoreline 'til nightfall, bouncing in waves and discovering "heart rocks," which Cailee gathers.

"She inquired as to whether she could help me with a Disneyland trip, and obviously I said yes, I'd be respected," Frost said. "She set up individual meet and welcomes with each and every princess. It was astonishing — it was the happiest I'd ever seen Cailee."

Frost is highly involved in raising awareness about visual impairment, and she said Cailee, as she’s gotten older, has started showing an interest in getting involved too.

“Cailee is this happy-go-lucky, buoyant little girl who’s constantly singing and happy and a natural born cheerleader,” Frost said.
